Overdrive Error and Overdrive


Because of a recent update with IOS,  the Overdrive App may break for some users. These are some troubleshooting tips that you can use to help the user.

For the device that is having trouble:
1.            Go to your device's Settings and Clear History and Cookies and Data. Or, if those options aren't available, tap Safari, then Clear Cache.
2.            Try downloading the title again.
If the issue remains, please try these steps.
Reauthorize:
1.            Open the OverDrive application
2.            Press the menu bottom (three stacked lines at the top left of the screen)
3.            Press "Settings"
4.            Press "Adobe ID" under "Ebook Settings"
5.            Note an Adobe ID or OverDrive account is being used and the email associated
6.            Press "Deauthorize" (continue through prompt)
7.            Press "Authorize" (Use the Adobe ID or OverDrive account that was previously noted)
8.            Attempt to download title again
The final step if the issue remains would be to authorize the OverDrive application with a new OverDrive account or Adobe ID.
Reauthorize the OverDrive app With a new OverDrive account
1.            Open the OverDrive app.
2.            Deauthorize the app on your device.
o             Open the Home menu by tapping the icon in the top-left corner of the app.
o             Tap Settings, Adobe ID, then Deauthorize.
3.            Return to the Home menu. Tap Account, then Sign out (if you're already signed in).
4.            Tap Sign up, then follow the on-screen prompts to create an OverDrive account. Your device will be authorized automatically.

5.            Try downloading the title or titles again from your library's digital collection.
Or, with a new Adobe ID
If you don't want to create a new OverDrive account to authorize the app, you can create a new Adobe ID instead.
1.            Open the OverDrive app.
2.            Deauthorize the app on your device.
o             Open the Home menu by tapping the icon in the top-left corner of the app.
o             Tap Settings, Adobe ID, then Deauthorize.
3.            Tap Authorize. If prompted, select No when asked to use your previous authorization.
4.            Select Use Adobe ID. On the "Authorize" screen, enter a different Adobe ID, and then select Authorize.
If needed, you can create a new ID on Adobe's website.
5.            After you authorize the app, try downloading the title or titles again from your library.
